Nintendo Fires Up a Charizard Edition 3DS XL in Japan

Lottery will be held for opportunities to purchase themed unit

If the one thing holding you back from picking up a 3DS XL is that it doesn't have Charizard on it, Nintendo's latest offering in Japan should fix that really bizarre hangup. Much like Pikachu before it, Charizard now has its own themed XL, and this one will be even harder to get a hold of.

A lottery will be held from November 3-26 to decide reservations, with winners able to purchase the Charizard 3DS XL between December 15 and January 14 for ¥18,900 (about $236). What do you think, is Charizard worth it?
