"Hunter x Hunter" Anime Movie Theme Song and Casting News

Aya Hirano, 9nine's Umika Kawashima and folky J-pop due YUZU on board for January movie

The Japanese edition of Shonen Jump has published a host of new announcements about January's Hunter x Hunter anime movie.  Aya Hirano  (Haruhi Suzumiya, Fairy Tail's Lucy) is back to voice a second character in the franchise, while girl group 9nine's Umika Kawashima voices Kurapika's childhood friend Pyro.

 

Folky J-pop due YUZU has signed on for theme song "Reason," whichwill be featured as an theme on the movie and the TV series. The single is due out January 9th.

And, this isn't the first time we've seen the giant chicken they're riding either...

 

On the manga side of things, volume 31 has been scheduled for a December 4th release while volume 32 comes out on the 28th.
