VIDEO: Momoiro Clover Z Gets Spicy in New Kimchii Commerical

The girls cosplay as classic food company mascot Norihei

Momoiro Clover Z are Japan’s quickest rising idol group. A former cult success, whose profile has steadily risen since singing the theme song for the Bodacious Space Pirates anime, I predict the group will probably go supernova once the new Sailor Moon anime – which they also provided the theme for – airs in summer 2013.

In the meantime, the five color-coordinated superheroines of Momoiro Clover Z have struck a deal to help advertise “Kimchii no Moto”, a Kimchii soup base made by the Momoya coporation that has long been a staple of Japanese nabe hot pot parties. And in their new CM for Kimchii no Moto, the girls transform into anime versions of Momoya’s funny-faced, glasses-wearin' mascot, Norihei Miki. Dig in below!

Norihei as he usually appears below...

And here's the firey official artwork for the Kimchii No Moto campain. Expect a zany new CM from the gang on 11/9.
