VIDEO: France and Japan Team Up to Create Mind-Controlled Robot!

Brain wave signals become robot actions

The race towards the inevitable robopocalypse is heating up as team of researchers from France and Japan are developing ways to control robots using the power of thought alone. Watch the demo below and learn how brain wave signals can control robot actions (hint: funny hats, blinking lights, computers, and Coke cans all figure into the equation).

All kidding aside, this research seems to hold promise for a myriad of medical applications, such as helping people who are paraplegic or unable to move their limbs interact in their environment. Still, this is the stuff of crazy science fiction movies made manifest. Any thoughts on how you’d like to see this brain-robot reaction evolve?
