Japan's Public Radio Station Begins Primary Election for "My Most Favorite Anime Heroine"

Votes from outside of Japan are welcomed!

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Japanese TV anime broadcasting, NHK Radio 1, a Japanese radio station operated by the public broadcaster NHK, has opened a web-page for its upcoming voting project "My Favorite Heroines" on their official site.You can vote for your most favorite anime heroine from its 50 years history. The page now features Uran from Tetsuwan Atom/Astro Boy, Matilda Ajan from Mobile Suit Gundam, Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion, Haruhi Suzumiya from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Madoka Kaname from Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

 

The primary election to pick 10 finalists has already begun and its deadline is December 9th. Voting shall be carried out with one vote per person. Most importantly, they welcome the votes from outside of Japan. Top 10 heroines will go to the final on January 2nd, 2013. The most popular heroine

will be chosen by the votes conducted in the live-broadcasting program from 7:20 pm to 9:00 pm on
