Tom Hardy to Star as Sam Fisher in Live-Action "Splinter Cell" Movie

The International's Eric Warren Singer tapped to write adaptation

Assassin's Creed isn't the only Ubisoft property currently working on the move to the big screen. A Hollywood adaptation of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell is also coming along, and much like AC, it's attaching a star in the early stages, with Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises, Bronson) lined up to play stealthy lead man Sam Fisher

The Splinter Cell movie is being written by The International's Eric Warren Singer, but the film doesn't have a director or studio yet. If Ubisoft decides to fast-track this one like they are with Assassin's Creed, we should know more soon, but what do you think of the choice of Tom Hardy as Fisher? It's pretty tough to best Bane as a lead choice, isn't it, Baatmaaan?
