VIDEO: Japan Gets a View of "The Hobbit" in New Trailer

First film in fantasy trilogy opens globally December 14th

It's interesting to see what footage gets used when a big Hollywood movie is marketed overseas. With the Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opening in North America and Japan on December 14th, a new 60-second trailer shows off the Lord of the Rings prequel to Japanese audiences.

Bilbo Baggins star Martin Freeman has a bit of a following in Japan thanks to his role as Doctor Watson in the recent Sherlock. As such, you can probably imagine what sort of doujinshi the new film will inevitably inspire.
