Yaoi Fangirl Manga Themed Otaku Husband Hunting Party Planned for Christmas

"801-chan" event matches BL fans with otaku with an understanding of the genre

Ajiko Kojima's semi-autobiographic four panel manga Tonari no 801-chan follows Yaoi-chan, a 22 year old fujoshi whose yaoi obsessions manifest as a green monster what unzips itself out of the back of her head - and her relationship with 28 year old otaku "Tibet." Kojima eventually married her real life boyfriend and now writes four panel strips about the two raising their infant son.

For those looking to live the dream, an otaku husband hunting party has been organized for Christmas.

The event will take place December 22nd at the Matome café in Chiyoda-ku Tokyo. It's open to 20-35 year old men and women. The ladies should have a love of BL manga, while the men should have an understanding of BL and a steady job. Capacity is a maximum of 20 men and 20 women, with a minimum of 15 and 15.

Though this is a ladies focused event, they pay 1,000yen ($12), while the guys pay 3,000yen.

Event plans follow a conventional blind date itinerary on pairing, mingling, snack breaks and the like. Beside the potential gift of love, participants will also get 801-chan goodies.

The first collection of Ajiko Kojima's follow-up look at married motherhood is set to be released November 29th
