VIDEO: First Look at Yamakan's Fantasy Comedy Anime "Senyu"

Adaptation of Robinson Haruhara's fantasy epic spoof kicks on January 8th

A new preview offers a first look at the January anime adaptation of Robinson Haruhara's spoof of fantasy epics, Senyu. The divisive Yutaka "Yamakan" Yamamoto (Haruhi, first four episodes of Lucky Star, Fractale) directs the series written by Squid Girl's Michiko Yokote. The ever identifiable JAM Project provides the theme.


Cast includes Ai Kayano (Meiko Hanma from AnoHanaSaori from Girls und Panzer), Hiro Shimono (The World Only God Knows' Keima Katsuragi), Yūichi Nakamura (Gray Fullbuster from Fairy Tail, Sōshi Miketsukami from Inu x Boku SS), Jouji Nakata (Fate's Kirei Kotomine) and Kenichi Suzumura (Ixion Saga DT's Gustave)


The popular manga debuted online on Niconico Seiga before being picked up by Jump Square.



Speaking of JAM Project, there's also a promo for their theme to Super Robot Wars Original Generations 2
