Nominees for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards have been announced, and thatgamecompany's 2012 downloadable PSN game, Journey, is being honored with a nomination in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category.
Austin Wintory's soundtrack—which is available for purchase on iTunes—enjoys a bit of history making with the nomination. It marks the first time a video game's full soundtrack has been nominated for the award. Here's the full list of nominees in the category:
The Adventures Of Tintin - The Secret Of The Unicorn
John Williams, composer
[Sony Classical]
The Artist
Ludovic Bource, composer

That's some tough competition for Journey to go up against, but it's cool to see it get the nomination nonetheless. The 55th Annual Grammy Awards air on CBS on February 10, 2013.
