VIDEO: Japan Invents Virtual Water!

... and uses moe character to demo it!

Virtual water is not among the top things that the world seems to really need right now, but that isn’t stopping a team of developers in Japan from creating a VR system that tricks the brain using a 3D tracking system and a vibrating cup! Watch the demo below, complete with obligatory CGI moe character!

Pretty cool, but any sane person right now would be asking themselves, what’s the point of this elaborate illusion-creating tech? “Promotions” seems to be as clear idea as the pitchman here seems to be offering, so here’s looking forward to a bold new future where a virtual Kool-Aid man can hand you a virtual pitcher of virtual ice cold beverage on an all-too-real hot day.
