The anime version of pioneering piloted mech Mazinger Z debuted on Fuji Television in December 1972 (the manga predated it by two months). In honor of the seminal rocket-punching robot's 40th anniversary Bandai is releasing a prestige DX Chogokin Mazinger Z with full internal diecast skeleton, removable armor and light and sound gimmicks.
