10 Finalists Selected for "My Most Favorite Anime Heroine" Contest

The winner will be announced on January 2, 2013

As reported, Shibuya Anime Land, a popular radio show on NHK Radio 1, has been holding a popularity vote "My Favorite Heroines" in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Japanese TV anime broadcasting. They have announced the result of the primary election to pick 10 finalists on their official website. The most popular anime heroine will be chosen by the votes conducted in the live-broadcasting program from 7:20 pm to 9:00 pm on January 2nd, 2013. Is your favorite anime heroine chosen for the finalists?

 

The first major TV anime was Tetsuwan Atom (aka Astro Boy) based on Osamu Tezuka's popular manga, which started airing in Japan on January 1st, 1963. NHK is Japan's national public broadcasting organization and their TV and radio programs are available everywhere in Japan.
