Nana Mizuki Wins Billboard JAPAN Animation Artist of the Year 2012

For "Nanoha 2nd A's", "Symphogear", "Blood-C" songs

Billboard Japan announced the winners of "Billboard JAPAN Music Awards 2012" yesterday. Nana Mizuki, probably the most popular and famous anime singer/voice actress in Japan now, was chosen for "Animation Artist of the Year" in the Artist Awards section for two consecutive years. Congratulations, Nana-san! 

 

The nominees for the section were the artists who have topped the Billboard Charts at least once in 2012, and the winners were chosen by the general votes along with the points from the charts. Nana got 40137.92 points defeating Masaharu Fukuyama (38333.22pts) who sang "Ikiteru Ikiteku", the theme song for the movie Doraemon: Nobita and the Island of Miracles—Animal Adventure and his only anime song in his career.
