Takashi Miike's "Hara-Kiri: Death of a Samurai" Blu-ray Planned
3D remake of 1962 film was nominated for the prestigious Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival
In the year that Takashi Miike made his critically acclaimed remake of Eiichi Kudo's 1963 13 Assassins, he also directed a 3D remake of Masaki Kobayashi's 1962 film Hara-Kiri. The film, nominated for the prestigious Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival, is now coming to DVD and Blu-ray via New Video Group on January 22nd.
Special features include a discussion with Geoffrey Gilmore from Tribeca Film.
