Go Nagai Authors New "Mazinger Z" One-Shot Prologue Manga
New manga to be included in "DX Soul of Chogokin Mazinger Z" figure
Celebrated manga author Go Nagai has returned to the story that made him loved around the world in Mazinger Z, with a twist. In a new interview posted as part of the release of the forthcoming battery-powered "Soul of Chogokin DX Mazinger" Z figure next May, he has authored a new 20-page one-shot manga that explains the origins of Mazinger Z and serves as a prologue to the events of the first series.
With the new origin story now in place, the true beginnings of Mazinger Z will finally be known, although the price of the figure is sure to give many pause, as it retails for almost $380 at the current exchange rate and that's without batteries or the additional $98 Jet Scander attachment! Anyone willing to pony up that much for it?
