Questions Raised by Plans to Repeat "Katanagatari" in April

Series of 50-minute episodes to run in April

In an eyebrow raising programming move, the 2010 White Fox (Steins;Gate) adaptation of Nisio Isin's (Bakemonogatari, Medaka Boxhistorical fantasy Katanagatari has been slated to run on Fuji TV's alt anime programming block Noitamina in April 2013. In one sense, it seems well timed for an April 24th Blu-ray set of the series, but many are wondering what scheduling the series of 50-minute episodes means for original content.

Noitamina will be continuing with the second halves of Robotics;Notes and Psycho-Pass during the winter anime season. The late night (00:45 to 1:45 Friday morning) block launched in 2005 with the intention of expanding the target audience beyond the typical young male demographic.

Katanagatari was localized by NIS America.
