Keiji Inafune's "Kaio: King of Pirates" Game Gets Anime Adaptation

Nintendo 3DS action game due out next year in Japan

It was over a year ago that manga adaptations of former Capcom producer Keiji Inafune's upcoming Nintendo 3DS action game, Kaio: King of Pirates, were announced. The fun isn't stopping there, though, because production company Marvelous AQL revealed at its Jump Festa booth that an anime project is in the works, as well.

There isn't currently any further info on the anime. As previously reported, the manga series will run in Shueisha's Saikyō Jump and V Jump magazines, and the 3DS game—developed by Inafune's own studio comcept—is still scheduled for 2013.
