"Natsume Yujin-cho" Begins 10th Anniversary Celebration

Anime script writer Sadayuki Murai pens first novel tie-in

Natsume Yujin-cho (aka Natsume's Book of Friends) is gearing up to start celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2013. Yuki Midorikawa's popular supernatural shoujo manga first ran as a one shot in the July issue of LaLaDX, on sale in May 2003, before launching as an ongoing series in 2005 and switching to the main LaLa magazine in 2008.

Festivities are starting with the series first prose tie-in. A novel by Sadayuki Murai, script writer on the anime adaptation, as well as the Perfect Blue anime movie, Cowboy Bebop and Steamboy will be released on January 4th, alongside volume 15 of the manga.

A special give away is also launching at the time.

Meanwhile, MANGART BEAMS has anniversary t-shirts in the works for the new year, and a Twitter account has been set up @Natsume_Nyanko to keep fans updated.
