This year, The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has spun off The International Emmy Kids Awards into its own stand-alone competition dedicated to recognizing excellence in children’s television programming produced and initially aired outside of the US.  For the inaugural award, Toei Animation / TV Asahi's Digimon Xros Wars - The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time has been nominated in the Kids' Animation category.  

The awards first ceremony will be held February 8, 2013 at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, Pier 61, in New York.
