"Shadow of the Colossus" Movie Brings "Hanna" Co-Writer Aboard

Adaptation to be directed by Chronicle's Josh Trank

Adapting Team Ico's Shadow of the Colossus for the big screen is, in all seriousness, no small feat. Chronicle's Josh Trank is already attached to direct, and now Seth Lochhead, co-writer of the Joe Wright-directed 2011 action thriller Hanna, has been tapped to write the film

When the project was initially set up in 2009, Justin Marks (Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li) wrote an early draft. Director Josh Trank will oversee the script as it's written. In addition to writing Hanna with David Farr, Canadian screenwriter Lochhead is involved in a top secret Michael Bay produced project called The Governess, and has written an adaptation of sci-fi novel The Age of Miracles

Shadow of the Colossus follows Wander, a young hero who travels a barren land with his horse, Argo, on a mission to take down 16 colossi and resurrect a girl named Mono. Kevin Misher is producing the film version, with Misher Films' Andy Berman and Kevin Chang overseeing.
