"Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity" Gets New DLC Maps

Japan gets an order of sweets, a hot mountain, and the ultimate desert

Three new dungeons have arrived as paid DLC for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity in Japan, each offering different challenges for players of the dungeon-crawling spin-off series. The latest additions are Pokapoka Mountain, Sweets Road, and Ultimate Desert, and you can take a peek at all three below.

Pokapoka Mountain is home to a host of Fire type Pokémon, as well as exclusive items like the Pass Scarf, Twisted Headband, Friend Bow, and Energetic Bandana. It's priced at ¥150.

Sweets Road is appropriately teeming with dessert items, and serves as a great spot to level up Pokémon. It comes in at ¥200.

Ultimate Desert offers the greatest challenge in the form of a 99 floor dungeon. Players are only allowed to enter with a single Pokémon, and it automatically starts them at level 5. Completing the dungeon nets you an exclusive item called The Testimony of Courage. Ultimate Desert is the most expensive, while also boasting the most content, at ¥300.

These may be Japan-only now, but consider this a preview of things to come. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity is due out on Nintendo 3DS in North America on March 24.
