Get ready to go faster, because Accel World is headed to Neon Alley! Viz’s streaming anime service, currently available on the PS3 (and the Xbox 360 sometime early this year), is the home of their banner shows like Tiger & Bunny and Naruto (and some of the best commercials aimed at anime fans around). Neon Alley runs dubbed-only content, so chances are we’ll get to watch the dub before we can buy it. The subbed version is available on Hulu.
The announcement came via their newsletter on Friday the 18th - the same day they premiered the english dub of Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne’s first episode.
Accel World tells the story of a portly kid with low self-esteem who gets caught up in a fast-paced and dangerous online game. The series is based off light novels by Reki Kawahara, who also wrote Sword Art Online - and who will appear as a guest at Sakura Con in late March.
There's no release date yet; hopefully Viz will announce that soon. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m a pretty big fan of Accel World. Are you excited to see it?
