Boyfriend Selected as First Non-Japanese Artists to Provide "Detective Conan" Anime Theme
Korean group's “Hitmoi no Melody” to run on anime in February ahead of March CD release
After 78 themes, a non-Japanese act has been tapped to provide the theme music for the Detective Conan anime series. Korean boy band Boyfriend's third Japanese single, “Hitmoi no Melody” will be featured on the mystery show starting in February, ahead of its March 27th CD release.
Three versions of the CD will be released, including a special anime themed one with Detective Conan packaging and trading card.
Boyfriend released their first Japanese single in 2012 and ranked number 1 on the Oricon charts.
