"Soul Sacrifice" Heads to PS Vita in North America on April 30

Keiji Inafune's portable sorcery gets dated, Japanese audio is a pre-order bonus

Keiji Inafune's Soul Sacrifice has been given a solid release date for both North America and Europe, and Sony also decided to share the box art. Be on the lookout for the sorcerer-loaded package below when Soul Sacrifice hits stores and PSN on April 30 in North America, with Europe to follow on May 1

Pre-order bonuses for Soul Sacrifice include exclusive in-game content, as detailed below:

  • Two (2) Unique Costumes with which players can customize their character
  • Three (3) Magic Items to aid players in battle:
    • Spirits’ Flamepike – Shards of the spear provided by Fire spirits, unleashing a five hit combo attack with heat effects
    • Spirits’ Blightstone – Explosive stones with poison effects provided by the spirits
    • Spirits’ Fulgurwood – Root provided by the Thunder spirits. Tracks enemies on the ground and attacks with thunder spell

Oddly enough, a "Japanese voice-over pack" is also a free bonus for pre-orders. According to the PlayStation blog post, it's the only way to get the Japanese audio track right at launch and at no additional cost. Hmm...

In addition to project lead Keiji Inafune, formerly of Capcom fame, Soul Sacrifice also features the music of composers Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger) and Wataru Hokoyama (Resident Evil 5). It hits PS Vita in Japan on March 7.
