"Ni no Kuni" Casts a Mighty Spell on the UK to Top the Sales Charts
Level-5/Studio Ghibli RPG beats FIFA 13 and Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Looks like Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is getting plenty of well-deserved success, both critically and commercially. The latest evidence comes from a look at the UK all-format Top 40 over at GfK Chart-Track, where Oliver and Drippy took the top spot over games like FIFA 13 and Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
Here's the top 10. DmC Devil May Cry is sitting just outside of it at #11.
Keep in mind that the only other new release in the UK last week was Hitman: HD Trilogy. Apparently Ni no Kuni sold out in many stores over the weekend there, too, so things are looking pretty flippin' bright for Level-5 and Studio Ghibli's classically-styled RPG.
