Next "Batman: Arkham" Game Confirmed for 2013

Warner Bros. reveals plans in financial meeting

For the next installment of the Batman: Arkham series, it was only a matter of when. According to a transcript of a Warner Bros. financial meeting, release plans have it making its debut sometime in 2013.

Here's what Time Warner CFO John K. Martin had to say about it:

"We expect [digital home video revenue] to grow close to 20% in 2013. And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise."

While that may narrow down expectations for its arrival (even if it could be referring to fiscal 2013), it remains unclear which developer will be handling the property this time around. According to some sources, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City developer Rocksteady Studios isn't working on it. Paul Dini—Batman: The Animated Series co-creator and writer of Asylum and Cityalso previously stated he would not be returning for a third game.

We'll have to stay tuned for details, but who's excited for more Batman: Arkham action?
