"Pokémon Scramble U" Heads to Wii U in Japan this Spring

Support for up to four players featured in downloadable game

The Pokémon Rumble series (Pokémon Scramble in Japan), which got its start on Wii in 2009, has Pokémon straight-up battling one another melee style in dungeons and other areas, and it's set to make its next appearance on Wii U.

According to a report in CoroCoro magazine, Pokémon Scramble U is scheduled to hit Nintendo's latest console in Japan as a download this spring. Up to four players will be able to join in on the action, and all 649 Pokémon will be available.

The last entry in the series, Pokémon Rumble Blast, made its North American debut on Nintendo 3DS in October 2011. That's what the headline image is from in case anyone is curious.
