Arizona's Saboten Con to Host English "Evangelion" Cast

Labor day event announces John Swasey, Spike Spencer, Tiffany Grant, Amanda Winn-Lee and Matt Greenfield as first round of guests

Arizona anime convention Saboten Con has announced that the 2013 labor day event will be hosting the voices of Shinji, Rei, Asuka and Gendo from the English dub of Neon Genesis Evangelion, as well as one of the original English directors.


In addition to voicing Commander Ikari, John Swasey to played, Lord Death from Soul Eater, Kogoro from Sgt. Frog, Isley in Claymore, and Sir Crocodile in One Piece.



Shinji's Spike Spencer also played Hinataro in Bleach, Rolo Lamperouge in Code Geass, Akito in Martian Successor Nadesico, and Attumen the Huntsman, Romulo, Mekgineer Steamrigger in World of Warcraft.


Famous Asuka Tiffany Grant has also been Kaorin in Azumanga Daioh, Kome in Blue Seed, Satella in Chrono Crusade, and Ryoko in Martin Successor Nadesico. She is also an avid Hello Kitty fan so expect to see a Hello Kitty panel or two from her.


Rei's Amanda Winn-Lee also played Yukiko Amagi in Persona 4, Nancy "Miss Deep" Makuhari in Read or Die, Momiji Fujimiya in Blue Seed, and Mimiru in .hack//Quarantine.


Coming back to Arizona is one of the original founders of ADV Films, Matt Greenfield. He has directed such notable English titles as Neon Genesis Evangelion, Battle Angel, Bubblegum Crisis, Noir, and Gunsmith Cats.



Saboten Con is held each year in Arizona over Labor Day Weekend (8/31-9/2, 2013) and has an expected attendance of 4,500 for 2013
