Kickstarter Campaign Looks to Fund Flashdrive Based on Classic "Grendizer" Mecha

Incubot Productions have the license, produced prototypes, and gotten the molds and electronics ready

Classic mecha Mazinger follow-up Grendizer isn't as popular here as it is elsewhere in the world, but it made it to North America as a part of Mattel's Shogun Warriors line of super robot toys in the late 1970s by Mattel, then was syndicated in some markets as part of the Force Five series, both under the title Grandizer. Incubot Productions have the license for a Grendizer Flashdrive, produced prototypes, and gotten the molds and electronics ready.

Now, they're just looking for interested classic mech enthusiasts to help fund the project. Three days into the month long Kickstarter campaign, the project is half way to its $8,000 goal.

Posable Grendizer USB memory figure that docks with a desktop saucer, licensed by Dynamic and Go Nagai, part of the Incubots robot line

Incubot Productions is a group of robot-loving designers and collectors who come together to make awesome USB drives that do cool stuff! We love articulating limbs, accessories, light-ups, and other features which make super robots SUPER. We have a great partner with CustomUSB. Our Voltron and Gigantor drives have been tremendously received, and now we want to kick it up a notch.

Grendizer is our most ambitious project to date, and true to the robot you love. He docks with a desktop saucer, his head snaps back, and of course he has a double-harken which can be broken into two axe weapons!

We've already gotten the license, produced prototypes, and gotten the molds and electronics ready. Your funds would really help us with creating the initial run of inventory at doable scale, and allow us to add all the detail and packaging work we want to make this amazing.

It's been a dream come true to work with Dynamic. By helping to get this to profitability, we'll be able to move forward with our ambitious plans for even MORE Go Nagai robots, like Mazinger Z.

So thanks for looking, and thank you for your support! GRENDIZER GO!

We are far down the path of manufacturing, having created multiple rounds of prototypes, completed molds, and "first pops" as shown in the video. The production pieces are 100% operational, mechanically and electronically. Our licensing fee is paid. We are seeking funding to ensure we can produce an initial run of sufficient quantities to make the project profitable. Our next step is to produce packaging, which we have done numerous times before for all of our projects. We have already finalized negotiations with a number of distributors, and we have had great success selling directly on our own site.

In short, we have the technology, the know how and experience to make and distribute an awesome product as this is our third major project. The next stage of our growth is about making partners world-wide to ensure incubots can dominate the planet. Your help is very much appreciated!
