"Summon Night 5" Hits PSP in Japan on May 16

Namco Bandai sets date, "Summon Night 3" characters make appearance

When we last saw a trailer back in December, Summon Night 5 was set for a spring 2013 release on PSP in Japan. Namco Bandai has since narrowed that down, and the first new entry in the series since 2010's Summon Night: Granthese is officially slated for May 16

Summon Night 5 will feature a few characters from past games, with Rex and Ati from Summon Night 3 popping in for a guest appearance. The hero and heroine of the RPG, however, are new characters. Prior to Summon Night 5, enhanced ports of Summon Night 3 and 4 also made their way to PSP in Japan last October and November.

Since the original Summon Night developer, Flight Plan, was dissolved, Summon Night 5 was developed by Felistella, who previously worked on Record of Agarest War: Marriage
