"Blade of the Immortal" Manga Author's "Beageruta–" Finally Collected
Collection released along side final volume of "Blade of the Immortal:
In additional to finally wrapping up Blade of the Immortal in volume 30, in recent years, author Hiroaki Samura's has produced some one shots, the two volume, surreal Halcyon Lunch and the violent, women's revenge series Beageruta–. The 2011 manga is running in the quarterly magazine Nemesis, so a collection has been a long time coming. Well, timed to coincide BOI volume 30 and a new edition of Junichi Osako's BOI light novel, volume 1 of Beageruta– was released this weekend.
The ero-guro bits of Beageruta– are pretty severe, and more graphic than the Shira bits of Blade of the Immortal, so the prospects of a North American release are at least a bit doubtful.
