2013’s holiday season is shaping up to be a battle royale for the console market, and analyst Michael Pachter thinks he knows how the whole thing is going to play out.
While speaking at Austin’s SXSW last weekend, Pachter made his predictions, saying Microsoft’s new Xbox will be the big winner. That’s not to say he thinks Sony’s PS4 will perform poorly; Pachter thinks it will do well. Just not as well as the Xbox. This is a graphic from his presentation:
As far as the Wii U goes, he predicted it will sell half as many units as the Wii. He also said games for the PS4 and new Xbox will jump up to $70, but after the Wii U’s price hike, anyone could have called that. Microsoft is rumored to reveal their new Xbox April 26th.
Sony or Microsoft? Who are you backing?
