While robins may herald the start of spring, stars hint that movie production might be soon underway. Celebrity watchers have recently spied actors Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass) and Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) arriving in Vancouver. The buzz is that they're getting in a bit early for the filming of the new Hollywood remake of Godzilla, rumored to begin production on March 14th.
So far, Elizabeth Olsen (the remake of Oldboy) has confirmed her involvement in the "grounded [and] realistic" take on Japan's king of kaiju. Director Gareth Edwards (indie pic Monsters) is preparing the project for a 2014 release, with Frank Darabont (Walking Dead's first season) recently working on the script.
Juliette Binoche (The English Patient) has also been mentioned as a potential cast member, with Lincoln‘s David Strathairn recently said to be talks to play a military role.
