Nintendo's Pikachu 3DS XL is Set to Shock North America on March 24

System packs a 4GB SD memory card, comes priced at $199.99

It was just the other day that we spotted the special Pikachu-themed Nintendo 3DS XL in a commercial for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, but Nintendo had "nothing to announce" at that time. Looks like they just wanted to wait a few more hours, because the Pikachu 3DS XL is coming to North America on March 24.

The bold yellow system sports Pikachu's smilin' mug, and packs a 4GB SD memory card for a grand total of $199.99. The release date is appropriate, because that's also when Gates to Infinity lands in North America.

Also, Nintendo is offering a bonus to anyone who registers a 3DS XL and either Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity or Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon between March 21 and April 30. Do so and you'll get a code to download one of five 3DS games for free. The games offered include Super Mario 3D Land, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone!, Star Fox 64 3D, and Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive!

Now, who plans on getting a Pikachu 3DS XL?
