VIDEO: "Bastion" Developers Reveal Their Next Game, "Transistor"

Sci-fi action-RPG is due out early 2014 for unspecified platforms

2011's Bastion was a pretty solid hit for developer Supergiant Games, and the team is back to reveal their next game. Transistor is a sci-fi action-RPG that tosses players into a futuristic city. Supergiant promises fast-paced action, along with the type of alluring presentation fans expect from the studio. Here's the reveal trailer:

A brief synopsis from Supergiant's blog post:

In Transistor, players assume the role of a young woman who gains control of a powerful weapon after a mysterious group of assailants nearly kills her with it. Now she must fight from street to street against forces that will stop at nothing to recover the weapon. During the course of the adventure, players will piece together the Transistor’s mysteries as they pursue its former owners.

Supergiant is aiming for an early 2014 release for Transistor. We'll have to wait to find out what the target platforms are, but those attending this weekend's PAX East will be able to check the work in progress out for themselves.
