"Final Fantasy V" Makes Its iOS Debut Today

Square's classic RPG comes with updates for $15.99

As some of you may have heard, Final Fantasy V is the latest classic 16-bit RPG to make the leap to Apple's iOS devices. Originally released for Nintendo's Super Famicom in Japan in 1992, FFV is officially available on iOS today

The iOS version of Final Fantasy V sports a handful of enhancements, including touchscreen controls, enhanced graphics, additional job classes, and new boss battles. The release supports English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish languages, and is compatible with iPhone 3GS through iPhone 5, 4th and 5th generation iPod Touches, and iPad.

As tends to be the case with Square Enix's mobile efforts, the pricing will be an issue for many, and it's just not at all in line with your average mobile release. If you want to check it out, it'll cost you $15.99.
