3DS remake of first Etrian Odyssey heads to Japan in June

Last week we posted about the next Etrian Odyssey game, which will remake the first of the series as New Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Maiden. With a stronger focus on story and characters, Millennium Maiden is scheduled to arrive on Nintendo 3DS in Japan this June, and Atlus unleashed the first screens via the official website.

We mentioned some of the characters of Millennium Maiden last time, and now we can see how they'll look on 3DS.

The spear-wielding hero:

Frederica Irving, an amnesiac Gunner:

Simon Yorke, a Medic well-versed in monsters and ancient civilizations:

Arthur Charles, an Alchemist who is part of Simon's investigation team:

Racoona Sheldon, a humble Paladin who hails from a family of nobles:

Shigeo Komori (Etrian Odyssey III) is directing, with Shin Nagasawa on monster designs, Yuji Himukai on character designs, and Yuzo Koshiro on music. New Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Maiden hits Japan on June 27.
