"Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D" Adds Easy Mode and Local Co-Op

Portable version of Wii original arrives on May 24

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D takes the Nintendo Wii original and ports it to Nintendo 3DS with the help of Pilotwings Resort developer Monster Games. It's not just a straight-up, no-frills shrink job, though, as some new things are coming along for the barrel-busting ride.

In addition to "brand new content created just for the Nintendo 3DS," which includes a new surprise after unlocking and beating all the special stages, DKC Returns 3D is adding an easy mode that gives players three hearts instead of two.

Better yet, local co-op play is also being added, which should bring the experience here that much closer to the fun of the original Wii version.
