"Killer is Dead" Screens Show a Mix of Battle and Gigolo Action

Suda51's latest game heads for a worldwide summer release

Killer is Dead—the upcoming action game from Suda51 (No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned) and the folks at Grasshopper Manufacture and Kadokawa Games—has a bunch of new screens that show off a little bit of action… in both the combat and gigolo departments.

The battle portion of the screens feature protagonist Mondo Zappa going up against the power hungry villain Victor, who seeks to "cleanse" the world by broadcasting sounds of malice from his headquarters. The combat shots include a look at a variety of Mondo's moves, such as his sword slash, guard, dodge, and guard break.

Killer is Dead also features a Gigolo Mode, in which Mondo travels to various parts of the world to meet and seduce exotic women. One such woman is Natalia, who Mondo can impress by offering presents. She also might slap him if he doesn't meet her expectations.

XSEED Games will release Killer is Dead in North America this summer, while Deep Silver will bring it to Europe and Oceania.
