New "Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai" Game Heads to Nintendo 3DS

Sequel is scheduled for a fall release in Japan according to Famitsu

It looks like the mystery behind Sega's new Hatsune Miku game tease may be wrapped up. According to this week's issue of Japanese gaming mag Famitsu, Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 is up next, and it's heading to Nintendo 3DS in Japan this fall.

The tentatively titled entry in the Project Mirai series will include songs like 40m P's "Do Re Mi Fa Rondo," Deco*27's "Yume Yume," and One Cup P's "Koneko no Paya Paya." Players will be able to either jam along on the touch screen or via the 3DS' face buttons.

We'll see if this is all Sega has cooking for Miku at the moment when the teaser site officially goes live. The previous game, Hatsune Miku and Future Stars: Project Mirai, was release on 3DS in Japan last March.
