"Lychee Light Club" Manga to Be Adapted into Live-Action Film

Usamaru Furuya's manga inspires yet another adaptation

There's yet another adaptation in the works for Usamaru Furuya's twisted Lychee Light Club manga, which has already branched off into a stage play, anime, and prequel manga. Next up is a live-action film adaptation, with more details to be revealed at a later date.

News comes from the editors of Ohta Publishing's Manga Erotics F magazine and the Litchi Hikari Club Secret Base website. Based on a Tokyo Grand Guignol performance, Furuya's manga made its debut in Manga Erotics F in 2005, and Vertical Inc. published the collected edition in North America in 2011. The sillier anime version is available to stream on Crunchyroll, and the voice cast also starred in last year's stage play adaptation.
