"Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn" Hits PC and PS3 this Summer

Third phase of closed beta testing kicks off in June

Square Enix is narrowing down the official launch window of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Following the third closed beta testing phase in June, the retooled MMO will make its debut on PC and PlayStation 3 this summer.

That third beta phase is a crucial one, as it makes the PS3 version playable, and players will be able to join those on PC thanks to FFXIV's cross-platform capabilities. New content—such as the Ul'dah and Limsa Lominsa city states—will be added along with the new phase.
