"Fatal Frame II" Steps into Focus on PSN Next Week

Survival horror sequel joins original as PlayStation 2 classic

Creeping closely behind the early April release of Fatal Frame, survival horror sequel Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly is next up on PSN. It's set to join the service as a PlayStation 2 Classic on Tuesday, May 7.

Fatal Frame II was originally released on PS2 in 2003, followed by a Director's Cut release on Xbox in 2004. The story follows twin sisters Mio and Mayu Amakura, who end up discovering an eerie village full of tortured souls. Players once again pick up the mysterious Camera Obscura to fend off and photograph spirits.

The PlayStation Blog post also offers up some interesting info about the game's creation from series director Makoto Shibata, so be sure to check that out.
