Bizarre Action Manga "Tokyo ESP" Slated For Anime

Kadokawa announces plans to adapt "Ga-Rei" author's later work into anime

Hajime Segawa developed Toyko ESP while writing Ga-Rei, the supernatural manga that inspired prequel anime Ga-Rei Zero. His first proposal was something like The Matrix with a fart powered hero. When his editor scuttled that, he settled on an action series starring a girl whose phasing abilities manifest after she has a vision of a flying penguin.

Publisher Kadokawa has now announced that the 2010 ongoing manga is slated to be adapted into an anime series.
