Yacht Club Games—a developer comprised of former WayForward staff—had an exceedingly successful Kickstarter experience with Shovel Knight. The NES-style platformer that pulls inspiration from Mega Man, Castlevania, and even Dark Souls, managed to raise over $300,000 by the end of its crowd-funding, and now we can take a look at the full boss roster.
The boss Knights are set up in a similar style to bosses of the Mega Man series, and three of them will be playable in the campaign thanks to stretch goals being met. We'll also be able to play as all eight boss Knights in the 4-player Battle Mode when Shovel Knight launches on PC, 3DS, and Wii U.
Mac and Linux versions are also in development.
