Kickstarter For Osamu Tezuka's "The Crater" Launches

A day into crowdfunding, campaign is $2,500 into the $3,500 goal

Kansai Club Publishing aims to publish a limited edition hard cover of manga pioneer Osamu Tezuka's 1969 horror and mystery short story collection and, a day into the Kickstarter fundraiser, launched on the 17th, they're over $2,500 into the $3,500.

They plan to publish just 2,000 copies of the manga. You can score a copy by pledging $35.

Any books not sold on Kickstarter will be sold at their booth at the upcoming Florida Supercon in Miami, Florida from July 4-7th. If there are any books still available after the convention, they will be shipping the remainder to select comic book and specialty book stores throughout the country.

The books will be printed in a large high quality Hardcover format (7 x 10 inches) and will come with 3 different 7 in x 10 in art prints inspired by content from “The Crater"

Tezuka's official site has a detail rundown of the collection here.
