VIDEO: "Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-" Debut Trailer

Arc System Works Confirms New Entry In Series

Following up on the BlazBlue anime news, Arc System Works also confirmed a new entry in the long-running Guilty Gear fighting game series in Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- after years of pleas from fans for a new Guilty Gear game.

The new game also marks a departure for Arc System Works in that it's being developed on the Unreal Engine, which is only the third application of the game development platform for a fighting game following Mortal Kombat vs. DC and the 2011 Mortal Kombat reboot.

What do you think of the trailer? It looks good, but Unreal Engine can make anything look good given enough time and effort. The real test will be if the game mechanics of the series will transfer over without too much modification from previous installments. Hopefully the trailer doesn't oversell the speed of the game either, but I've been let down before.
