Kickstarter Launches for "Time of Eve: The Movie" International Blu-Ray Release

Release to include bonus features, 40-page art book, and more

With interest bubbling for a Time of Eve: The Movie Blu-ray release, Pied Piper, Inc. partnered up with DIRECTIONS, Inc. and Studio Rikka and officially launched a Kickstarter to make the product a reality. After Time of Eve's six episodes—which streamed on Yahoo! Japan and Crunchyroll—were turned into a feature film experience, Japan got the movie on Blu-ray and DVD in 2011, but the rest of us have had to make do with a release in the iTunes Store.

The Kickstarter aims to make the much-demanded international Blu-ray release a reality, and it's already well on its way to doing so. In just the first handful of hours the project reached over $12,000 of its $18,000 goal, and there's still 29 days to go.

The Kickstarter video:

What is the Blu-ray release going to include?

    • Time of EVE: The Movie, with subtitles in English.
    • We will also include bonus features with interviews of the main cast and director Yoshiura Yasuhiro. We are still looking through our video archives to see what we include.
    • 40-page art book (we are really excited about this!)
    • For those who purchase this Blu-ray through the Kickstarter campaign, each Blu-ray will include 8 postcards of the characters. This is the complete set of postcards, and is an exclusive for this Kickstarter campaign!

This Blu-ray is our chance to share the original artwork and character designs, and to take you into the creation process. We are really, really excited!

More info, including tiered backer rewards like an original drawing by character designer Ryusuke Chayama, can be found on the Kickstarter page
