In September 2010, Hiro Mizushima left his talent agency, Ken-On, to create his own independent agency called A stAtion and soon after won the 5th Popular Publishing Grand Prize for Fiction and a cash prize of 20 million yen for his debut work, titled Kagerou. The actor then took a break to focus on his writing. The "ikemen’" (good-looking) is now returning to acting to play the demonic Sebastian Michaelis in the live-action Black Butler.
Mizushima dropped down to 110 pounds (50kg) to capture the sharp features of the character from Yana Toboso's manga. He stars opposite 20-year-old actress Ayame Goriki, who has been cast as the original lead.
In a story set 130 years after the manga/anime (2020 specifically), Goriki plays the heir of the Phantomhive family legacy, though the character must assume a male identity to maintain the position.
Kentaro Otani (live action NANA) and Keiichi Satou (Tiger & Bunny) will be co-directing the picture.
The movie has been shooting for a 2014 release.
